Sarah Morphew Named 2024 De Queen Elementary Teacher of the Year
Sarah Morphew is a lifelong resident of DeQueen. She graduated from DeQueen High School in 1999 and continued her post-high school education at UA Cossatot. She transferred to Henderson State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2004. She received her Master of Science in Education from Arkansas State University in 2010.
Sarah began her teaching career in 2004 at DeQueen Elementary, teaching third grade, and later moved to fourth grade, where she currently teaches math and science. She is a Level 9 tutor in the Arkansas Tutoring Corps.
Sarah always has high expectations for her students. She meets them where they are educationally and guides them where they need to be. She believes in her students and helps them meet their goals in preparing for their next educational advancements.
Sarah is married to Mitchell Morphew. They have three daughters: Bailey, Lorel, and Ellie. She is the daughter of Greg and Maribeth Revels.
